Watershed Australia was established in 2014 by Brian Stockwell after a 30-year career in state and local government. Brian brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and nationally recognised success in the design and implementation of successful and sustainable interventions ranging from on ground paddock scale projects to the policy environment.
A combination of policy analysis, process improvement, social and economic evaluation techniques, together with rigorous research and leading-edge participatory approaches have underpinned the high impact achieved by the plans, programs and strategies he has developed. Brian Stockwell has an impressive resume covering statutory and environmental planning, catchment management and economic development. He is acknowledged for his ability to drive new strategic directions and to achieve grounded implementation of these through practical frameworks for action. He has served on a number of technical and advisory groups including the SEQ Scientific Expert Panel for Landscape & Biodiversity and the Technical Working Group for the Queensland Wetlands Program. He has developed extensive networks within natural resource management groups and state and local government in Queensland. |
